Fish a plenty for Swedish ex-pats

Fish a plenty for Swedish ex-pats

Fish a plenty for Swedish expats

MORNING WORLD….. Fish a plenty for Swedish ex-pats

Fish a plenty for Swedish ex-pats Jonny GV Lenngren and his pal Bjorn with virtually a fish a chuck from 10am – 5pm. In fairness, there were a lot of smaller Pacu in the mix along with Striped Catfish, Amazon Red Tails, Tiger Red Tails, Carp, Walking Catfish and a couple of big fish lost which were probably Chao Phraya Cats or Arapaima.

Our Scandinavian friends were in Phuket for a mini-break from their homes in Khao Lak, a really nice couple of fellas and they did a fine job of clearing a couple of the fridge shelves with yours truly helping a little towards the end of the day.

If the last few years are anything to go by the dynamics of the lake are due to change in the coming weeks as the Mekong Cats and Siamese Carp turn back on meaning bigger fish and possibly less of the Pacu but at the moment it is all about very high catch rates but who Knows when the lumps will start again so why not take advantage of the lack of tourists and our special ex-pat rates to help you forget your troubles and enjoy some “FUNFISHIN”!…..??????????????

MORNING WORLD….. ExPats at Chalong Fishing Park

ExPats J.P from South Africa and Paul from Australia spent a very busy day with us. A full English breakfast got the day started and the fish just kept on coming. Amazon Red Tails, Tiger Red Tails and Pacu were feeding for fun, and the Arapaima were teasing them constantly, and then Pauls predator rod had a screaming run which turned out to be a nice Chao Phraya Catfish that was lost right at the bank as the line snagged on an umbrella that had blown into the lake…we were wondering where that had gone!

We were a little embarrassed by the lost fish, but it did not put the lads off as they kept on catching and towards the end of the day J.P was rewarded with one of the Arry’s. Probably the smallest one that we have but still perfectly formed and a fitting way to end the day.

Breakfast and lunch were washed down with a few cold ones. Discounted rates and the lake to themselves made for a day of “FUNFISHIN !”…..?????????????

MORNING WORLD….. Dave “No Fish” Allen at Chalong Fishing Park

MORNING WORLD…..Two of our season ticket holders have fished with us over the last couple of days, both catching plenty of fish. Dave “no fish” Allen joined us on Tuesday morning and did not live up to his name with around 20 fish for his session.

Brian joined us yesterday on a slightly more challenging day with heavy rain all through the night and well into the morning, still loads of fish but the bites a little less positive. While the Mekong cats and the Siamese Carp still remain scarce, the other fish are feeding for fun and high catch rates are the norm.

Very few customers, lots of fish, discounted rates and a fridge full of cold ones, what more could you want, get involved and enjoy some “FUNFISHIN!”……?????????????

MORNING WORLD….. Ex-Pats Chalong Fishing Park

After a very quiet week, we were happy to welcome some customers yesterday. English ex-pats Rob and Albert have fished with us before and booked another session. Rob is the brother of the legendary Jan Porter, and many of us grew up reading his articles in the angling times and anglers mail as well as watching him on TV. Rob lived up to his brothers’ name with the pair of them catching close to 70 fish for the session, and a couple of cold ones were just what the doctor ordered after a very busy day, top fellas and they plan to return again soon.

A Chinese ex-pat couple also spent a few hours with us and they too were into the fish from the start with lots of fish from several species.

It’s still extremely quiet here and things look set to stay this way for a good while yet and we, like so many other businesses are doing all we can to keep going and survive until things return to normal one day. In the meantime we have reduced our rates significantly so with very few other customers there is no better time than now to make the most of the situation, “bag up” and enjoy some “FUNFISHIN!”……..????????????????

MORNING WORLD….. Another season ticket holder at Chalong Fishing Park

Our pal and season ticket holder “Aussie John” Cato joined us yesterday but did not fancy getting wet so here’s a few of his 30 + fish haul modelled by one of our guides, Jack.

The action was pretty much non stop from the start and John packed up early saying 30 was enough…..no need to be greedy.
Discounted rates and very few customers so arguably the best “bag up” opportunity around, why not join us for some……. “FUNFISHIN!”…………????????????
