Saturday was comparatively busy

MORNING WORLD…..

After a full week of no customers, Saturday was comparatively busy, we may have even broken even for the day which would be a first for a long time.

Our pal and season ticket holder Dave “no fish” Allen got an early start and several fish for a mornings work.

Swedish ex-pats Jonny GV Lenngren and Bjorn Tube are having a mini-break away from Khao Lak and they also joined us for the second time with well over 30 fish between them including several Siamese Carp that seem to be showing again now. A really couple of fellas and when our mutual friend Sean from ML Bar Supplies come down to say hello we all enjoyed a cold one or 12.
English angler Phill who lives in Bangkok joined us in the afternoon and after a slowish start, he too was into the fish as was a Chines customer here on a short session with his Thai friends.

Here’s hoping there are a few more similar days and we may have a fighting chance, silly prices for silly times, come and join us for some “FUNFISHIN!”……?????????????

MORNING WORLD…..

Graham Hurst joined us for a half-day session yesterday and with 30 fish in 5 hours he was kept busy from the start with fish from several different species and a couple of “lumps” lost.

Pre COVID Graham was the resort manager at Fishing Park Samui and is having a little change of scenery in Phuket and its always nice to meet people from other fisheries, share some ideas and information particularly with a couple of cold ones at the end of a session. Let’s hope things improve soon so we can all get back to what we love doing.

Silly rates still apply and the beer and fishing offer now also applies to Saturdays for those who may be training or working during the week so why not join us for some “FUNFISHIN!”…….??????????

Chinese Lad Fishing

MORNING WORLD…..

We were joined by our pal Dave “no fish Allen” for a few hours in the morning. Dave did not live up to his reputation with several good fish for his efforts and thankfully to photos of his ugly mug.

The afternoon saw a young Chinese lad and his Mum join us for a few hours and the little fella will have slept well last night with lots of fish well into double figures and some good-sized lumps including Amazon, Asian and Tiger Red Tail Catfish, Pacu and Striped catfish.

Silly rates for these silly times so if you fancy a change of scenery why not come and join us for some…”FUNFISHIN!”……..?????????????

Regulars from Freedom Bar

MORNING WORLD…..

After a few very quiet days we welcomed “Popeye” and a few of the regulars from “Freedom Bar” in Rawai.

After a full English breakfast Popeye, Jamie, Nick and Paul got down to the fishing with a haul of around 70 fish between them in a half-day session.

Siamese Carp, Amazon, Asian and Tiger Red Tail Catfish, Walking Catfish and Pacu were keen to take the baits with Paul coming out with the most fish at the end of the day. A few cold ones as we were joined by “Flob” (Dave Roberts) from “Walkabout” in Karon and John Gould from “The Tavern” in Kata before heading off to play our pool matches at Freedom Bar and Islander….are Mondays the new Fridays?

First Angling Experience

MORNING WORLD…..

Our pal Andy Moore bought his lady down for her first angling experience and as is so often the case she out fished him from the start.

Rob and Albert returned and they had loads of fish between them from several different species.

With little fishing pressure, the catch rates are very good, and you never know what will take the bait with fish ranging from a couple of kgs up to 80 kg. Some cracking offers so why not make the most of it and enjoy some ….”FUNFISHIN!”…….???????????
