Very Nearly Full

MORNING WORLD…..

A very nearly full to capacity lake (water, not customers, unfortunately) with the new pump system working wonders at Chalong Fishing Park. A few weeks and some expert advice from my mate Woodsy with very little money involved for parts has made all the difference. We’re still losing a bit more water than we would like and the plan to rectify this has had to be put on hold for the time being but we’re only halfway through the rainy season and the big stuff is yet to come so all good.

Some good news yesterday with restaurants now being allowed to serve alcohol and with any luck, the bars will be able to follow suit soon. Ex-pats that do not have work permits will be able to get vaccinated from Friday and I get my second jab tomorrow as we near the 1st of July when Phuket starts what will be a gradual but very welcome reopening to tourists once again, it really can’t come soon enough for many businesses but we still need to be cautious and take our time.

It was a very early start for me this morning as I head back into the kitchen to finish the tiling, decorating and general improvements….now I remember why I stopped doing it for a living!

We’re back at it again from 8am tomorrow morning, the catch rates are high and the fishing rates are low, give us a shout and join us for some……..”FUNFISHIN!”…..🐟🎣🐠🐟🎣🐠🐟🎣🐠

DEALS

We have had a couple of people ask us if we are currently doing any deals and so the poster below should answer that question as we are basically offering our fishing at half price in an effort to tempt ex pats and remaining stranded tourists on the Island. All the usual things are included in the price and with very little pressure on the lake, very good catch rates are to be expected. We have removed our short 3 hour session as it would just not be worth doing and the half day package is great value anyway.
 
Please note that we do not offer hourly rates and the packages that we are offering do not even come close to meeting our running costs so please do not ask for further reductions.
 
We were also offering a half days fishing with 8 cold ones included a couple of days a week for just 1,000 baht (do the math) but we had no takers so we will have a re think.
 
Virtually all businesses here are struggling with the majority not even open and many perhaps closed for good. We are very aware that this is the same world over and this is not a cry for help, just putting it out there for you and the fish photos were all caught in the last week so why not come and catch some for yourselves and enjoy some “FUNFISHIN!”…..??????????
