Fish a Plenty Yesterday

MORNING WORLD…..

Fish a plenty yesterday for our customers from Germany, England and Kuwait.

Londoner Carl joined us for the day but finished a little early saying he was knackered and his arm was aching, music to our ears!

Short morning sessions produced lots of fish for a German couple including an Arapaima that decided to jump out of the pen before we could get a photo of him.

There’s little or no freshwater fishing in Kuwait so this customer was more than happy to try something new and experience catching freshwater fish which he did very well and he and his wife complimented us for our little set-up.

The afternoon saw the return of a couple of familiar faces that have been absent for two years. Our pals Richard and John are regular visitors to Phuket, great to see them again and lots of fish on a short session.

We have had a couple of people ask us if we are currently doing any deals and so the poster below should answer that question as we are basically offering our fishing at half price in an effort to tempt ex pats and remaining stranded tourists on the Island. All the usual things are included in the price and with very little pressure on the lake, very good catch rates are to be expected. We have removed our short 3 hour session as it would just not be worth doing and the half day package is great value anyway.
 
Please note that we do not offer hourly rates and the packages that we are offering do not even come close to meeting our running costs so please do not ask for further reductions.
 
We were also offering a half days fishing with 8 cold ones included a couple of days a week for just 1,000 baht (do the math) but we had no takers so we will have a re think.
 
Virtually all businesses here are struggling with the majority not even open and many perhaps closed for good. We are very aware that this is the same world over and this is not a cry for help, just putting it out there for you and the fish photos were all caught in the last week so why not come and catch some for yourselves and enjoy some “FUNFISHIN!”…..??????????

After a relatively busy day on Wednesday we thought things were picking up but yesterday was a quiet one. Not all bad news as we welcomed back our Scottish friend Jamie Henderson who has been absent for a year and a half. Lots of fish and a few laughs with our guide Dee, he’ll be back again soon for sure.
 
Two of our season ticket holders Dorothy Barker and Tim Darton joined us for what has become their regular Wednesday afternoon slot. After a trip tp Kata fishing shop getting Dorothy kitted out with all that she needs to lure the fish they got down to the job in hand, a bit of a slow start under the mid day sun but then the fish came thick and fast, Siamese carp, Chao Phraya Catfish, Red Tail Catfish, Walking Catfish, Striped Catfish and Pacu all lining up up to take their baits.
 
On the subject of baits we now have a range of products for sale to give you the edge, groundbait additives, biolies and pop ups are available in various sizes to suit your needs at very affordable prices with more products available soon.
