Lots of good fish caught and a couple of belters lost

G17
Another fairly quiet one but lots of good fish caught and a couple of belters lost.
Canadian anglers now living in Australia Lisa Edwards and her other half joined us for the morning. Lots of action from the start with several species of different species, shapes and sizes. A large Arapaima took Lisa’s bait but the trademark head shake spelt the end of that battle. Thats fishing and they are booked in for some more on Monday.
Some Dad’nLad sport for Graham and his Son from England on a short afternoon session, plenty of fish for them and our German friend was also back for the second time this week for some Dad’nDaughter fishing (even if she did spend more time playing with our little girl Jazzy). The fish were coming thick and fast for Dad and then there was a screaming run to the far corner followed by run after run which almost always means a Chao Phraya Catfish. The battle lasted well over an hour only to end in a matter of seconds as the hook pulled out, the line went slack and the fish swam off. Gutted but grateful for such a good fight he has also vowed to return for more.
The above is an every day occurrence here so if you fancy some of the same why not get involved. There is very good availability for the next couple of days and the weather forecast looks perfect for fishing with just a little rain and plenty of cloud cover. There are purpose built salas all around the lake with great facilities, great staff, great rates and above all great fishing. Come and get involved and enjoy some…….”FUNFISHIN!”…….🎣🎣🎣🐠🐠🐠🐟🐟🐟😎😎😎

A bit of a break in the weather

GM12
A bit of a break in the weather meant a few more customers from different parts of the globe fishing various packages and all getting well among the fish. Once again plenty of Siamese Carp, Amazon and Asian Red Tail Catfish, Pacu, Striped catfish and Chao Phraya Catfish all making a show. Yours truly spent much of the day in the water looking after the water Hyacinth beds some of which were in nets which were removed yesterday. Loads of little “glass shrimp” much to Jen’s approval and a few baby Asian Red Tail Cats which is great news and a good indication that the water quality is where we want it.
One or two names in the book for today but still lots of availability and the forecast ain’t bad so give us a shout, wet a line and join us for some……….”FUNFISHIN!”……….🎣🎣🎣🐠🐠🐠🐟🐟🐟😎😎😎

Education is important, but fishing is more importanter!

GM11
Some very heavy rain over the last couple of days, great for our levels and making everywhere look so lush but not so good for business although there is cover all around the lake.
The rains did ease a little in the afternoon and those that were brave enough got plenty of fish. It was nice to see our German friend and his little girl for some Dad’nDaughter fishing, a little wet stuff did not put them off and with the added bonus of lots of toys here there was one happy little girl and one happy Dad enjoying the fishing with a cold one or two. The same went for our latest season ticket member and Fernand got well amongst the fish with lots of good Red Tails.
Things are looking a little brighter weather wise. A near guaranteed bend in rod is what to expect so why not give us a go and join us for some……….”FUNFISHIN!”…….YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED !………….🎣🎣🎣🐠🐠🐠🐟🐟🐟😎😎😎

A very wet and grey day but once again the proof is in the pudding….the fish really don’t care.

A very wet and grey day but once again the proof is in the pudding….the fish really don’t care.
Nice to see the return of Jemma and her family. This lady can fish and was a regular visitor this time last year when the Phuket sandbox first opened. She along with the rest of her gang braved a little wet stuff and enjoyed near non stop sport with lots of fish caught between them.
Dad’nLad duo Fredrick and Anton from Denmark were back for the second time in 3 days. Their previous visit was a belter and a hard day to beat but beat it they did with loads of fish. A good mixed bag and near non stop action which was capped by Dad Fredrick landing a nice Arapaima. Young Anton was over the moon with his Dads catch as they celebrated with Ruben from Holland who was fishing in the next swim and then Anton decided it was his turn as he too got into another “Arry”. The look on his face was priceless, a joy to see a young man catch his quarry with his old man, memories that will last forever. A really nice bunch of people who braved the rain, had lots of laughs lots of fish and made the most of a rare grotty day.
Fancy some of that ??? Give us a shout and join us for some…..”FUNFISHIN”……….🎣🎣🎣🐠🐠🐠🐟🐟🐟😎😎😎

When the fish are biting nothing else matters!

When the Fish are biting
A quiet Saturday with the weather at this time of year working against us, when its raining they don’t want to get wet and when its sunny they run for the beach or the pool and who could blame them ? That said the rain does not deter the fish and sometimes its more comfortable being a little damp than being too hot.
We did welcome a Danish Dad’nLad duo who asked us what the chances of catching were when they arrived in the morning. I smiled, told them not to worry and they would catch lots, perhaps the looks on their faces showed a little doubt but that soon changed as they “bagged up” on Siamese Carp, Striped Catfish, Pacu, Red Tails, a bonus Chao Phraya Catfish and hooked but lost Arapaima. Very happy with their days work they left beaming and wowing to return.
We also had a couple of our season ticket customers join us in the afternoon and our pal Tim Darton was once again using his fly rod. Our mutual friend Neil got wind of this and as our planned sea fishing trip aboard “Fish Eagle” was blown off he bought his fly tying kit along, something he says he has not opened for near on 40 years. They went through the goodies and after several fly’s were tried the Red Tail Cats could not resist them, mission accomplished !
Our mate Paul came along with better half Ann and Daughter Elly who is Jazzy’s best fried at school, the pair of them were straight in the pool before deciding to catch some Java Barb, which they both succeeded in doing so jazzy had her first pupil and Elly caught her first fish, lovely and very nice afternoon around “the office” with a few cold ones in great company, compensation for the lack of customers.
The staff and the fish had a rest day yesterday but we are all back at it again from 8.30 this morning. There is a little wet stuff forecast for the coming week but there is shelter all around the lake and the fish really don’t care so if the beach or the pool are not that appealing and you can brave a little rain why not get involved, you won’t be disappointed with probably the nearest thing you will get to a guaranteed catch so come and join us for some………”FUNFISHIN!”……….🎣🎣🎣🐠🐠🐠🐟🐟🐟😎😎😎
