A belter of a Chao Phraya Catfish or Freshwater Shark for our pal Mike who enjoyed a busy morning session.
We only had a couple of pre-bookings but the day turned out to be busy with still lots of walk-in customers. We have tried our best to advise people to let us know if they are coming and have even translated this on social media but it seems to be ignored so the bottom line is if we are full that’s just hard luck, we only have so much space and so much tackle.
Our pal Jonny Boy took some time out from the boxing gym, good to see him and some pals enjoying a little R & R.
Lots of fish from several species over the day and in general a nice bunch of old and new faces.
A bit of a downer at the end of the day when two fellas decided that they did not want to pay for their drinks. They started out ordering 6 shots of vodka and then went on to finish that bottle and part of another. Obviously well under the influence, they decided that their bill was too high (charged the same as any other bar would charge for shots) and wanted to pay for the vodka at cost price. We then gave them a bottle rate meaning a good bit cheaper but they still wanted more discount. Jen was having none of it and mentioned the word police…it’s funny how things can change so quickly but it’s a shame that there are those out there that just seem hell-bent on trying to get something for nothing and trying to move the goalposts. They paid and left on their bikes with no lights on and will probably leave us a bad review……if they made it home!
