A full moon today which also means that at this time of year Loy Kratong is celebrated in Thailand, roughly translated as the Festival of Lights. Thai’s all over the Kingdom will gather near water and make offerings to the Gods and our little dancing girl Jazzy will be performing on stage at Nai Harn Lake this evening.
Anyway, to the fishing. Once again fish a plenty for everyone who joined us yesterday. The day started with three anglers from Poland who had pre booked with us and had lots of fish to keep them busy. The same went for a South African chap here with his better half taking photos, she was kept busy and they promised to spread the word about us when they get home.
Our pal Gary was back again for the afternoon and in his words stopped counting at 44 fish so he will have slept well last night and a repeat Danish angler spent his last afternoon in Phuket for this visit with. As the day went on our pal Jim bought his lad along for a couple of hours fishing from the disabled swim which just happens to be next to the bar, he enjoyed catching Red Tails one after an other while Jim and some friends enjoyed a “cold one” around the “office table”….perfect!
The Siamese Carp have been feeding really well along with loads of Pacu, Striped Catfish, Red Tails, Chao Phraya Cats and we are starting to see a few Mekong Cats once again and if these brutes turn on properly even the small ones are enough to test the strongest anglers. Fancy some of this ??? If so give us a shout and join us for some…….”FUNFISHIN!”……….
