A nice busy day with a nice mixture of new customers as well as some familiar faces and old friends. While most of the lake was taken up by customers from Russia, France and England on short and half-day sessions the bungalow bank had been reserved for Danny and Garry along with some other friends in the afternoon. Danny and his better half Stevie were looking forward to seeing their old friend “Boy”, nice to see the reunite….very emotional hahaha. They wasted no time in getting amongst the fish with no less than 24 Siamese carp for Danny along with 2 Chao Phraya Cats, Red Tails, Pacu etc etc….non stop fishing !
The same went for others around the lake with Mekong Catfish also making an appearance, the second one this week and lets hope that this is the start of their reappearance.
Our pal Tim Darton was back at it again with his fly rod and was rewarded with nice Red Tail Cats but better still a Giant Gourami a species that he has been targeting for several weeks so well done Tim.
A great day in great company, some thick heads this morning as we finished the day with a cold one or twelve at Freedom Bar in Rawai.
