After a busy week and weekend things started very quietly this week with just the one customer on Monday afternoon. Things were similar yesterday with one short session customer in the morning, one full day and the all too familiar “no show” but at last our online booking system is up and running and that will be the only way to guarantee a booking from now on, very easy and secure through our website and pay pal.
It was good to see a familiar face yesterday. Jem has been fishing here for several years and always manages at least a couple of sessions when he’s over. His second cast of the day he hooked into a nice Arapaima but “Arry” had other plans and Jem lost that battle. Undeterred he went on to bag several Siamese carp, Chao Phraya Cats, Red Tails, Pacu among other species for near non stop action throughout the day and loads of fish. Well done to Jem and he is sure to be back again in a few days time.
The evening saw more torrential rain and we feel for our friends who have businesses in Karon that were flooded yet again, the second time in as many weeks as the flood pumps packed up again! We welcomed the rain even though we got a good soaking when an unplanned delivery turned up. One of the locals had a few nice Giant Snakehead, a beautiful fish and a species we did not have until last night…..who will be the first to catch one of these ????
A few more names in the book for the coming days but still lots of availability so if you fancy wetting a line, the lake is full of water and lots of hungry fish, give us a shout, book your place and join us for some……..”FUNFISHIN !”…………..
