When the Fish are biting
An unusually quiet day which kind of suited us giving the lake a bit more of a rest. A rest however was not on the cards for our customers as the fish were more than up for it once again.
Ron from the US of A has a lake in Ubon Ratachani in Issan, North east Thailand and he joined us with his better half. They were into fish from the very start with several species and a nice little Arapaima early on. These brutes are like London buses, you don’t see any for a while and then they come together. Yesterday was no exception and within no time at all another bigger “Arry” was giving battle. Ron said that he had caught a 90 kg Arapaima in the past and this one was bigger so happy days.
Our pal and season ticket holder “Del” joined us for the afternoon and after a comparatively slow start with two Pacu in the first hour and a half he then went on to land well over 20 Siamese carp and in his own words “he was knackered” by the end of the session.
Nick Parsons from west London has been fishing different venues in Thailand and he was booked in on Friday when we had to make the decision to close for the day. Unfazed by the cancellation Nick joined us for the afternoon fishing from the disabled swim which is right next to the “office table” where his wife sat in comfort with a cuppa tea in between taking many photos of the many fish he caught, some of them on his own rod with a centre pin reel which was great sport.
So nice to see the place fishing so well again after our little oxygen blip last week and a reminder that we still have many jobs, (most of which had to be put on hold due to Covid) to do to continue making improvements and to ensure we remain the best fishing and best value in Phuket so our customers can continue to enjoy even more……..”FUNFISHIN!”……..🎣🎣🎣🐠🐠🐠🐟🐟🐟😎😎😎
