When the Fish are biting
Another busy couple of days and while the fishing has been tougher of late still lots of good fish for our customers from all over the world. Great to see old friends return, always nice to welcome new faces and make new friends but sadly at some point we all have to say farewell even if only till next time.
Just as Covid struck we used the spare time to make some improvements one of them being a disabled platform close to the bar/restaurant and washrooms. This was done with our friend and regular visitor John in mind but none of us expected such a long time before tourism would start up again properly so it was great to welcome John back again to try out the swim….we hope he approves.
Catch rates have been a little lower than we have been used to but that can be made up for with some nice “lumps” including Mekong Catfish, Chao Phraya Catfish and Siamese Carp and our friend Dorothy got to do battle with a nice lump of a Chao Phraya Cat towards the end of the day which confirmed the end of her session with aching arms so she joined hubby Malcome and me for a “cold one” or two at the “office table”. The Arapaima have been hiding for a few days now so the law of averages says that we must be due an appearance soon, we just never know.
Things continue to be busy and while we try to let our customers know that bookings are advised with some notice across all our social media outlets we still have many people turning up and questioning why we say we are fully booked and why they can not have the shadiest part of the lake, it’s simple, when we are full we are full, just contact us a day or two beforehand, book your place and join us for some…….”FUNFISHIN!”….🎣🎣🎣🐠🐠🐠🐟🐟🐟😎😎😎
