Another busy one on Thursday as we said farewell to some customers who have become a good friends. Tony, Sharon, Darren, Aneta, Perren and Jack have fished here several times over the last few days and they squeezed a last half-day session in before heading to Bangkok. Another Mekong Catfish on fish bait for them as well, twice in a few days, we wish them well on the travels and look forward to seeing them again soon.
We also welcomed back a few more familiar faces and some new ones and plenty of fish caught over the day, as ever some doing better than others.
Friday morning our guide “Boy” and myself were planning the day and as it started to get light it was apparent that the power cut in the night meant that the oxygen pumps had cut out and there were lots of fish on the surface. Pumps back on and the the arduous job of trying to contact that days customers to put them off for the day. The mornings customers were notified but we did not have contacts for some in the afternoon . The showed up and we went ahead with the fishing, happy to say that the fish were back on the feed and while it may not have been as productive as it can be several good fish were bought to the net.
