Another fairly busy one and again a nice mix of old and new faces. Many nice fish caught including a rarely seen Alligator Gar but it is only fair to say that the fishing has been a little slower over the last few days. This is not uncommon at this time of year with the weather and the monsoon changing and yesterday afternoon we noticed many of the small Java Barb on the surface which is a good indication that the oxygen levels are down, again something that happens at this time of the year. A slight reddy brown tinge to the water shows we have a bit of an algae bloom so today we had to make the decision to close for fishing. For obvious reasons this is not something that we like to do but it is in everyones interest, our fish are our investment and we want our customers to catch well. We are pumping oxygen into the lake and adding some treatment and in the past the issue has been rectified very quickly and we hope to be back to normal tomorrow but please look for updates.
Once the oxygen levels are up again we will be back at it and the fish are sure to be back on the feed for more……”FUNFISHIN!”……….
