Back At It Again

MORNING WORLD…..

 
We’re back at it again this morning after a day off yesterday. We normally close Monday’s and Tuesday’s at the moment as things are so quiet but a couple of our regulars asked if they could fish on Monday and we were happy to oblige.
 
Rob and Albert wasted no time in getting started with 2 rods each they were hell-bent on breaking the lake record of 87 fish for the day and were into fish from the start. Rob comes from an angling background from Nottingham in England and his Brother Jan Porter was a very famous course fisherman in the ’70’s and 80’s appearing on TV and in all the fishing magazines back home so Rob is no stranger to match fishing with high catch rates. While the fishing here is a far cry from match angling back home the catch rates on Monday were ridiculous with Albert landing 79 fish including over 20 Siamese Carp and Rob landing 76 fish so a haul of 155 fish for the session with both anglers coming very close to the record, roughly a fish each every 9 minutes !….the ones that got away would have made the difference! The guides were flat out all day so not as many photos, as usual, just a few of the many Carp caught.
 
Two very tired and happy hookers are booked to come back again in a few weeks for more of the same, they work hard for their fish and go through a lot of bait but a more leisurely approach is of course possible. DEALS

We have had a couple of people ask us if we are currently doing any deals and so the poster below should answer that question as we are basically offering our fishing at half price in an effort to tempt ex pats and remaining stranded tourists on the Island. All the usual things are included in the price and with very little pressure on the lake, very good catch rates are to be expected. We have removed our short 3 hour session as it would just not be worth doing and the half day package is great value anyway.
 
Please note that we do not offer hourly rates and the packages that we are offering do not even come close to meeting our running costs so please do not ask for further reductions.
 
We were also offering a half days fishing with 8 cold ones included a couple of days a week for just 1,000 baht (do the math) but we had no takers so we will have a re think.
 
Virtually all businesses here are struggling with the majority not even open and many perhaps closed for good. We are very aware that this is the same world over and this is not a cry for help, just putting it out there for you and the fish photos were all caught in the last week so why not come and catch some for yourselves and enjoy some “FUNFISHIN!”…..??????????
