MORNING WORLD……Happy to announce that the catch rates have picked up with the more settled weather possibly being a factor, still not what it can be but good amounts of fish from several species showing over and since the weekend with the attached photos showing just that. We recently introduced some Atlantic Tarpon, a few have been hooked and lost, something the species is known for, super fast and super agile so we were very happy to bring the first one to the net. I have caught these in the seas of Africa but I’m yet to catch one in freshwater so that will be my challenge when we get some quieter days in the low season.
We continue to have people book and not turn up and while they may have paid a deposit we still look at empty places and perhaps more annoyingly we have turned genuine customers away on the strength of that booking. There is a pattern to it and it seems the same sort of people are the ones that go down with “food poisoning” so from now on any booking of 3 or more will require payment in full at the time of the booking. This may scare a few away but they will be the ones who are not prepared to commit and therefore probably the ones who would not turn up anyway.
