Fish a plenty for a couple of German chaps who braved the early rain and caught non stop all day. Loads of fish from several species with the Siamese Carp feeding really well and a couple of nice Chao Phraya Catfish in the mix.
The same thing went for a couple of fellas from England also here for the day and an American family enjoyed some Dad’nLad fishing on a short afternoon session.
Our pal and season ticket holder Tim was back with the fly rod once again, this time Pacu and Tiger Red Tail Catfish fell to his offerings plus a Siamese Carp that was still attached to a rod and reel that had been pulled in from the opposite bank. The bait runner had clearly not been turned on and the customers had left before I knew anything about it so well done Tim, an expensive set up was retrieved and you may well have saved that fish’s life. There is a reason why we give that boring prep talk to customers before they fish, the same information is available to read at the bar in in every sala around the lake, the gear is the customers responsibility while they are using it and damages are chargeable.
The weather men say things are not too bad this week but the sea will be rough from the late monsoon winds so if that boat trip is “blown off” or the sea is to lumpy and you are looking for something to do, look no further, give us a shout, wet a line and join us for some………”FUNFISHIN!”……….
