MORNING WORLD…..Busy, busy for the second half of the week and plenty of fish to keep those lines tight and smiles on faces.
Repeat customer Matthew was back on 3 separate dates over the last few days with his lad Thomas and the young’n smashed it every time, well done young man, always nice to see the Dad’n Lad & Dad’n Daughter fishing, not forgetting the Mums.

The Mekong catfish continue to dominate and while some “experts” like the one who quoted a few days ago that we had too many Mekong cats (thats like saying too many Carp in a syndicate lake in the UK) we should all remember that these fish can turn off in a heartbeat as they have done in the past, so surely it’s best to make the most of them while they are feeding so well. Other species are also showing a little more now, a few more Siamese carp, plenty of Striped cats, Pacu and Red Tail cats when they feel like it along with other species in the mix and happy to say that a few of our recently introduced smaller Arapaima are continuing to show. This is everyones ” I want” species and typically one of the hardest to catch, but now there is a more realistic chance of getting one and when they are smaller they are generally easier to bring to the net, but believe me they won’t be that size for long !
We are fully booked today and Monday (Don’t forget we are closed on Sunday) with availability from Tuesday, with places filling up fast. We have some staff holidays right now so the kitchen will serve only Western dishes from 10am – 2pm, drinks are available as usual and food can be ordered from outside at this time. With less guides on the bank for a couple of days we are keeping booking numbers down so if you turn up and see an empty peg, it does not mean it’s available!! and if we say we are full!, we are full!. Far better to plan ahead a little, pre book in person or through our website, have your name in the book for a guaranteed place to join us for some……..”FUNFISHIN!”………
