Good News For Us

Good News For Us

MORNING WORLD…..

A rare bit of good news for us as the restrictions are being lowered from 1st June and we are allowed to have customers fishing once again. Not so good for bar owners who are still forced to stay closed with restaurants not allowed to sell alcohol either until further notice.

With Phuket due to open in just over a months time surely the bars should be allowed to open with numbers capped and earlier closing times to start with, the capping of numbers would not be an issue as there is no one here but having spent the last 14 months existing on little or no income and still paying overheads its hard to see how these businesses will be able to fully operate to tourists in a matter of weeks. If things do improve additional staff will be needed and stock will have to be purchased which all costs money so most of these businesses need a little head start. If alcohol bans are still in place at the start of July I can’t see many tourists wanting to come here as most would like to at least enjoy a cocktail, a beer or two or a glass of wine with their meal, Let’s hope it changes soon.

We’ve had a few very wet days and the water levels are nearly replenished. Yesterdays rain prevented us from doing the jobs we had planned so the staff and myself decided to have a couple of hours fishing trying different baits and techniques. it did not really matter what we did or what bait we used, we were catching constantly with loads of fish gracing the net. Several Siamese Carp, Asian Red Tails, Tiger Red Tails, Amazon Red Tails, Pacu, Striped Catfish, Big head Carp, Walking Catfish and a couple of “dropped” Arapaima kept us very busy and if you fancy some of this for yourselves we will be back at it again from Wednesday 2nd June for more ………”FUNFISHIN!”……..🎣🐠🐠🐟🎣🐠🐟🎣🐠🐟😎

DEALS

We have had a couple of people ask us if we are currently doing any deals and so the poster below should answer that question as we are basically offering our fishing at half price in an effort to tempt ex pats and remaining stranded tourists on the Island. All the usual things are included in the price and with very little pressure on the lake, very good catch rates are to be expected. We have removed our short 3 hour session as it would just not be worth doing and the half day package is great value anyway.

Please note that we do not offer hourly rates and the packages that we are offering do not even come close to meeting our running costs so please do not ask for further reductions.

We were also offering a half days fishing with 8 cold ones included a couple of days a week for just 1,000 baht (do the math) but we had no takers so we will have a re think.

Virtually all businesses here are struggling with the majority not even open and many perhaps closed for good. We are very aware that this is the same world over and this is not a cry for help, just putting it out there for you and the fish photos were all caught in the last week so why not come and catch some for yourselves and enjoy some “FUNFISHIN!”…..??????????
