MORNING WORLD……..After a busier October than expected things did slow down a little at the end / start of the months, nothing unusual there and for sure just the calm before the storm as we enter the high season.
Wednesday morning saw the lake booked out by an English / Aussie group who by they’re own admission were not the most experienced anglers and it was also one of those rare days when the fishing was a little tougher for some, yes even we have slow days and a few of our afternoon customers ( a mixture of regulars and new faces ) experienced the same having to put that little bit more effort, imagination and knowledge in to tempt the fish. That was all except for our mate Gary who had a bumper afternoon session with 28 fish from 10 species including 11 Mekong Cats. Our French friend Fred had similar on Thursday morning and then yesterday our pal Chris returned in style for 37 fish from 8 species for the day and he packed up early missing out on the witching hour when his 8th Mekong snapped his rod and a Red Tail Cat did the same to his line swimming around the oxygenator….time to call it a day and for the cynics the last 2 photos are they’re screenshots of they’re catches.
There is currently good availability for today and the coming week but places are sure to fill quickly, the only way we guarantee places is if booked with a deposit, this can be done in person, via Thai bank transfer or on www.chalongfishingpark.com so get your names in the book and join us for some …..”FUNFISHIN!”………
