It’s always nice to see a familiar face or two and yesterday was no exception as we welcomed back the Brummie gang Paul, Rob, Leigh and Suzy who have been holidaying in Phuket and fishing with us for several years pre covid and have at last made it back. The gang started their day with a “Full English” breakfast and then the chaps took up their old favoured spot on the bungalow bank. The ladies tried to relax by the pool but where frequently summoned by the fishermen to take photos of their catches of which there were many. Really good to see some old customers who have become firm friends over the years.
We were thankful for another fairly busy day in spite of some no shows and drop outs on the day and I’m not sure if people understand that on the strength of their booking we put others off so if we have no shows etc we loose money and these days that is just something that no business can afford . For that reason our booking system will be back in place very soon. Its a hame we have to do this but as ever a few will ruin things for the majority.
Problems aside those who did fish ALL caught well with a lady angler from Ukraine, a great bunch from South Africa and young Enyo from Switzerland and season ticket holders Dorothy and Tim all catching well with very high catch rates with Siamese carp, Pacu, Amazon, Asian and Tiger Red Tails, Walking Catfish, Striped Catfish and more all responding well to the offerings.
A day of rest today and the moon is full which also means a “Buddha Day” on Monday meaning many bars will be closed as alcohol sales are banned. The days around the full moon can often be very productive and we have good availability for Monday and the week ahead. We already have some friends joining us tomorrow for soft drinks and canapés so why not get involved, get in touch, book your place and join us for some……….”FUNFISHIN!”……….
