More Dad’nLad & Dad’nDaughter action yesterday for two duos from Hungary and Russia, always good to see the young ones enjoying the fishing.
It was not just the kids enjoying it as other customers from South Africa, Russia and Australia also got amongst the action with lots of fish caught throughout the day and double hookups on more than one occasion. We know we are doing something right when the customers ask what the availability is like for the coming days as they want to come back for more.
Our mate Del made use of his season ticket and joined on for a short afternoon session. He decided to fish a different swim to his usual choice choosing the sunny side of the lake in the afternoon and lots of fish for his efforts.
This Friday afternoon we celebrate being 6 years old with a little “funfishin match” and the final photo in todays selection shows what the lucky winner will receive…..”The Salty Sea Dog Trophy” in memory of our good friend and last years joint winner Paul Whittall who was so sadly taken from us just over a year ago. Thanks to our pal Dave Roberts aka “Flob” from Walkabout Bar in Karon for the donation of the trophy……it’s a little old and tarnished like so many of us but I’m sure that Paul would approve as it looks like it has been recovered from Davey Jones’ Locker itself so very fitting. There is still a little space for the match and everyone is welcome, bacon butties and a cuppa at mid dayish, pegs drawn and fishing from 1.30 – 6pm. Some little prizes up for grabs, some food laid on afterwards and always a good laugh in good company. If you want to take part please let me know asap and if others could also confirm that will help us out with the planning. Non anglers are more than welcome to join in the banter and yet more……..”FUNFISHIN!”………
