Sawasdee Pee Mai …..Happy New Year in Thailand, known as Songkran Day and the biggest water fight on the planet.
Yesterday was fairly quiet but those who did join us had some decent action as the Mekong Cats continue to feed well. For parts of the year it’s very high catch rates that we have become known for but while our catch rates are still high you would not want too many of these brutes in one session as they are enough to test anyones strength and ours are relatively small! Several other species are keeping our danglers busy and you never know what the next fish will be.
Apart from a couple of short session customers this morning it’s not surprising that we have no other bookings for today as people venture out for the celebrations and we will close from lunchtime to give the staff a little downtime and the opportunity to get drenched both inside and out. We will be heading down to Karon for our annual soaking at Walkabout sports bar before heading to Rawai for more of the same…it could get messy!
We have a good few bookings for tomorrow and as things stand availability is good after that as Phuket starts to slow down to mark the end of the high season which thankfully has been a very busy one for us so if a bend in the rod is what you are after then look no further and join us for some ……..”FUNFISHIN!”, stay safe out there today, you’re going to get wet, leave the bike at home and enjoy the party……
