The heavy weather played its part in keeping the customers away yesterday but those who did brave a little rain caught plenty of fish.
It was great to welcome back our old mate Jimmy Robinson who is back for the next few months, sure to be part of the furniture here once again and thanks to him for replenishing by the supply of Reggae Reggae sauce…..yes it’s the little things you miss!
Jimmy was into the fish from the start and soon into the session he hooked an Arapaima, several minutes battle and “Arry” shook his head and that was the end of the battle with Jimmy taking the silver medal. Not unusual and there are a lot more Arrys hooked than netted but Jim was not put off and he went on to land several more fish including a couple of Chao Phra Cats that went some way to make up for his loss. The morning also saw another customer from the UK who was kept very busy for a few hours
The afternoon saw the second of two couples from Israel in as many days, they joined us for a short session and also got well amongst the fish.
It looks like the weather is set to stay with us for a few more days and normally at this time of year as norm like this signals the monsoon starting to change and we are sure to see the wind direction move from West to East over the coming weeks meaning more settled weather, less rain and calmer seas, particularly on the west coast where the main tourist beaches are. In the meantime, the overcast skies keep the temperatures down and can be more comfortable when playing the fish who really don’t care what the conditions are like so if you fancy a bend in the rod we have all you need and by far the best value around so why not join us for some……”FUNFISHIN!”…….
