MORNING WORLD…..

 
We were supposed to be closed on Monday and Tuesday but there were customers from Canada and Dubai who wanted to come and we obliged. The Phuket Sandbox has been amazing for us and while we wish the bars could open and booze bans lifted so other businesses can share in the success there is way too much negativity from some out there that will not help anyone. Not everyone that comes here wants to be out drinking all night, some do have other interests and comments on the sandbox pages will confirm this.
 
A great mix of customers yesterday from England, The Netherlands, South Africa and Germany. Perhaps the last visit of several for Bangkok teacher Jim who has to return to the city for duty. He was here with his lad Frank, his pal Ed and another good day for them. We hope they can stay safe in Bangkok.
 
Two separate “Dad and Lad” groups from Germany fished the road bank, loads of fish with both groups catching the Arapaima that everyone else was after. Ethan and his lads from South Africa have fished here before with us and it was great to see them again after a long absence. English angler Alan spent a busy day with several species and Mark from England had contacted us asking if he could use his own fly fishing tackle. Of course we agreed and it was a joy to watch his expertise and after a couple of dropped fish a nice Chao Phraya Catfish took his “fly” and that was followed by Amazon Red Tails…..Arapaima next time ?
We feel truly blessed that things have picked up for us almost overnight, it really could not come at a better time and we sincerely hope that this is the start for better times for all of us.
 
We are fairly busy one again today but we do have one cancellation from a customer who had booked for this morning and it was only when he checked directions he realised that we are in Phuket and he lives in Pattaya, you gotta laugh eh !

DEALS

We have had a couple of people ask us if we are currently doing any deals and so the poster below should answer that question as we are basically offering our fishing at half price in an effort to tempt ex pats and remaining stranded tourists on the Island. All the usual things are included in the price and with very little pressure on the lake, very good catch rates are to be expected. We have removed our short 3 hour session as it would just not be worth doing and the half day package is great value anyway.
 
Please note that we do not offer hourly rates and the packages that we are offering do not even come close to meeting our running costs so please do not ask for further reductions.
 
We were also offering a half days fishing with 8 cold ones included a couple of days a week for just 1,000 baht (do the math) but we had no takers so we will have a re think.
 
Virtually all businesses here are struggling with the majority not even open and many perhaps closed for good. We are very aware that this is the same world over and this is not a cry for help, just putting it out there for you and the fish photos were all caught in the last week so why not come and catch some for yourselves and enjoy some “FUNFISHIN!”…..??????????
