MORNING WORLD……….As is the norm for the time of year things have been a good bit quieter than we have been used to over the last few months but still enough customers from all over the world to keep us on our toes and as ever still lots of fish being caught.
We had a full moon a couple of days ago and while there are a lot of varying opinions we find that the full moon itself can slow the fishing down a little but the days either side of the full moon can be very productive which has definitely been the case this week. The Mekong cats are still showing but the Siamese Carp seem to be edging in more now, we are also seeing more Amazon Red Tail Catfish along with a couple of their Asian cousins. Rohu, Tambaqui, Pacu and Striped Catfish feeding well, always nice to see species that have been on the missing list for a while and we wonder what will show next, we have some species in the lake that have never been caught so lets hope they will show if the predators have not got to them already !
Lots of walk in customers right now, a few from a certain country who like to bring their own rods and reels that look like they came out of a cheap Christmas cracker, they also have lures with sets of treble hooks that we do not allow here and be warned casting one of these when you think we are not watching after you have been told we do not allow it will result in your session being terminated and a good chance that your rod will be in more pieces than when you first got it, loads of info out their in 3 different languages….please read it.
We are using the quiet times to crack on with some essential maintenance which means that we will close one bank for a day or two, this has not affected the fishing and we will do all we can to keep disruption to a minimum. Availability is good for today and all of next week but we are closed tomorrow (Sunday). Fancy a bend in the rod ? Contact us or better still pre book on our website and join us for some……..”FUNFISHIN!”……….🎣🎣🎣🐠🐠🐠🐟🐟🐟😎😎😎
