We recently made the decision to close on Sundays to give us all a little time off but yesterday by special arrangement we welcomed our pal Rob Porter and his mates nephew Rees for the day. Robs normal fishing buddy Albert was due to be part of the mix but a family issue meant he could not make it and we hope that everything will be ok.

The chaps started the day a little later than normal with a full English Breakfast and then wasted no time getting into the fish. Rob is the lake record holder with a staggering 125 fish in one day and while that was not under threat the pair of them had somewhere in the region of 100 fish taking advantage of the Siamese carp that as predicted were well on the feed after the full moon. For once the Pacu were scarce so the tally could have been higher but the Amazon and Asian Red Tail Cats along with several Striped Cats more than made up for it with the fish feeding well for most of the day apart from early afternoon when they often go off the boil particularly when its hot and sunny like yesterday, its never for long and as the day goes on the Red tails tend to be more active which was the case and double hook ups are always on the cards.
