Yours truly has had lots going on over the last week so not many fishy posts. It’s been another busy week with one random quiet day but every other day fully booked or very nearly (a few “no shows” creating the gaps which is annoying as we had turned others away).
The weather has been getting hotter every day and I’d be lying if I said that did not affect the fishing at times but as ever we never really know when they are going to turn on and sometimes its when you least expect it so lots of good fish caught over the last 3 or 4 days with the Mekong Cats still feeding well, lots of Siamese Carp and Striped Catfish, Pacu and lovely little Grass Carp to keep the catch rates up. Happy to say that the Red Tails are starting to show again now, the Chao Phraya Cats are always on the hunt and the Arapaima are still winding people up with screaming runs and head shakes….we will bring one to the pen very soon as its been too long!
As ever excellent to see so many old faces, and customers who have become friends over the years and also nice to meet so many new ones and welcome them to our little piscatorial playground.
With Easter upon us and the Thai New Year (Songkran) just a few days away bookings are still coming in so please either pre-book on our website or at least contact us before coming.
Our little girl “Jazzy” turns 5 years old on Tuesday but has decided she is going to have her birthday party on Monday the 10th so she gets 2 special days. We are still taking bookings as normal for Monday morning but we will be closed for fishing in the afternoon as many of Jazzy’s Uncles and Aunties will be fishing to build up an appetite for the Bar B Q and Birthday cake. Jazzy has even hinted that she will lay on a few “cold ones” for her special party friends; everyone is welcome. Those who want to cast a line please confirm and join us for some……..”FUNFISHIN!”………….
