MORNING WORLD…..To say things have been a little damp since Wednesday would be understatement of the year but in spite of the wet weather we have been fairly busy so thanks to those who showed some dedication managing to get here even though half the island was flooded with roads closed etc etc. They were well rewarded and while some species slowed down due to the cooler conditions plenty of fish were caught including Siamese Carp, Catla Carp, Walking Catfish, Wallagou, Wells catfish, Asian and Amazon Red Tails, Pacu, Mekong Catfish, Tambaqui and a nice Arapaima for a couple of lads who started with a 2.5 hour session and extended to the half day……good move for them but bitter sweet for our pal “Santa” (Glen Perkins ) who witnessed the catch of a species that as yet has eluded him here in spite of several visits including 3 this time, your day will come mate.

Some forecasts are saying today will be the peak of the weather and the worst day, others are saying the opposite. Good availability for today and tomorrow we are back open Sundays and seven days a week for the high season and while availability is currently good for next week places are sure to start filling even quicker from now on so we strongly advise pre booking through our website chalongfishingpark.com but please do give us enough time to process bookings, sending a request at 10pm for the following morning will not get a response as we are not robots. We do welcome walk in customers but there are no guarantees of a place without pre booking with a deposit.
There’s shelter all around the lake, your skin don’t leak and the fish are already wet, come and join us for some…….”FUNFISHIN!”……….![]()
